Info:
Scientists in Brazil and collaborators in the U.S. and Europe traced the transmission path of a recent chikungunya virus outbreak. They determined the point of origin to be previously undetected transmissions within the country, rather than a new introduction of the virus. The team used Pippin Prep in its metagenomic sequencing pipeline.
